Broiler Farming Layer Farming

Broiler Farming :
It is a special type of bird which is developed for meat purpose. it is the fastest body weight attaining bird in all type of poultry. if proper management is done then this bird able to gain 2.5 kg body weight in 38-40 days.(40 gm to 2.5 kg body weight just in 40 days). commercially it is profitable to poultry farmer , so farming of those birds also called commercial broiler farming. as these birds are fastest weight gaining though they are very sensitive.
current broiler strain developed are cross of Plymouth rock(American) and white Cornish(united kingdom).
basically as those birds grow too early people have tendency that this birds is nutrient free, harmful to eat also tasteless . but all those are assumption only reality is that broiler bird chicken contain same protin,vitamin and all nutritional values that habrid birds contain.
Layer Farming :
layer farming are basically done for egg purpose. in these kind of farming birds are developed in such a way that they give more production of eggs in less time.current strain of layer birds give 1 egg in 26 hours. also these birds is not as weighted as broiler birds . feed given to those birds are also limited .
these birds start producing eggs after 20 to 24 weeks. and they gives eggs up to 72 week with high production after that production of egg reduce. 1 bird in his life gives up to 320 egg. the initial construction costing in layer birds are higher compare to broiler bird. also the income are daily after 24 weeks.
